I started this blog to help others learn about dementia.

I am a daughter of someone with dementia. My Dad has suffered from this disease for 13 years now. It’s been a long road for my Mom, my family and especially my Dad. I want to share what I’ve learned through experience about caregiving, behaviors, and life with dementia.

In 2020, I became a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer.

For four years I worked at the Alzheimer’s Association where I learned the science of the disease and met many people whose families had been touched by dementia. Their stories helped me find strength to help Mom cope and keep my Dad’s dignity intact. I am thankful for the education I received and all the good advice and support of so many wonderful people.

Now it is my turn to give back.
